When we set a table, place botanical arrangements, create the menu, and select the wine, we are not just setting a table, we’re setting a stage where life happens, where flavors are experienced, bonds deepen, memories are made, our shoulders drop, and we’re filled with appreciation for the experience of being here right now. If we’re lucky, we get to do this with people we love.

Autumn is my favorite season. This time of year makes me want to cook, so I’m sharing a recipe that includes Delicata squash, which is one of the first winter squashes to come on, and for me, a welcome sign of all the delicious things to come.
